About Us

Simcoe Weather is a weather service that provides accurate weather forecasts for south-central Ontario. Our goal is not to be the best weather service in Canada, but rather focus on providing local & accurate weather forecasts alongside with new and exciting technology that is constantly improved. We believe that accurate weather forecasts can be simple and easy to read.

From our local forecast, which displays lots of useful weather information that is meaningful to you, to the detailed forecast, that gives you the weather information in a news report, we got you covered. In addition, you can play around with our interactive map and zoom in where it is currently raining or overlay regional webcams.

All of our weather forecasts are available for free on platforms such as the web, desktop and mobile. If you are a technology wizard, you can build your own weather applications using our API. If that's not enough for you or if your having trouble interacting with our data services, then we can create a custom weather data service with our Business services. Our services can be easily integrated into wireless and web environments as well as you are in total control of the look and feel of the weather content on your product.

As we continue to grow we will continue our quest in our open relationship with our users to develop new technologies that hopefully will be the foundation of other projects.

Mario Trunz
Mario graduated from Georgian College as a Computer Programmer Analyst and started Simcoe Weather in January 2009. He loves experimenting with new technologies, which is where we get all these cool features.

Hans-Juergen Trunz
Hans-Juergen is our graphic designer at Simcoe Weather. He brings you all the nice icons and logos and make sure that the website is always as easy to use as possible. He is studying Graphic Design at Georgian College.
