Hey all,
Yesterday marked the official One Year Anniversary of Simcoe Weather. Although Simcoe Weather exist well before that, it wasn't really a company until then. Over the last year we had a lot of good memories at Simcoe Weather, and we wouldn't have done it without our users, you!
Besides creating weather forecasts for south-central Ontario, we worked hard on the website. We improved many of the web pages to make it easier for users to find weather information. We revamped the
Simcoe Weather API to make it even easier developing weather applications. We launched a new local forecast page, to make it easier for you to get the weather information you want and we also worked hard to develop a new infrastructure that changed how we update our weather forecasts, by being able to localize our weather forecasts down to street level. In fact, in 2009 we mainly focused on simplicity and work on new ways that keep the forecasts accurate.
So, for the road ahead, we are planning on adding more cool features in 2010. We want weather information to be simple, easy understandable and off course open. Happy New Year and I hope you join us in 2010.
Thanks,
Mario
